If you do attend a design school you can learn about many different aspects of clothing and accessory creation. For instance, you are likely to be exposed to the following:
History of design-This may include the study of different clothing and accessory items that were popular during different centuries or decades. This will help you in the event you ever want to recreate vintage-looking styles of clothes and corresponding miscellanous pieces.
Basic clothing shapes-This is especially necessary if you are actually going to produce clothing from the designs you create. It also will help you in the event you need a starting point from which to beging drawing and creating certain designs.
